Brockley and Ladywell
Having very recently moved to Brockley, I thought I’d take a few miniplanets of my new area.
There are two sets, panoramas from Spring and Autumn of 2011 and some in the snow from December 2010.
The recent snow has made these stereographic projection panoramas brilliant. The lighting as the sun began to set really makes them.
Brockley and Ladywell Cemetery
Very near my new flat is this beautiful cemetery. The following planets show it in a great light.

St Hilda’s Church, Crofton Park
The beautiful church in Crofton Park, Brockley on the high street, is captured in these three planets below:

Brockley Barge
Named after the barges which went down the Croydon Canal (which later got replaced by the train line) it is one of the few pubs/bars near Brockley stations. These miniplanets show the Barge from a couple of different angles.

Ladywell Tavern
The Ladywell Tavern is a great pub in a very striking building. This miniplanet was taken in the freakishly hot October heatwave in 2011.

The Rivoli Ballroom
The Rivoli Ballroom is a Grade II listed building that has played host to many large bands such as Kings Of Leon, White Stripes and Florence and the Machine as well as filming for numerous films, TV shows and adverts. It remains one of a few functioning traditional ballrooms in London.

The Brockley Jack
My other local traditional pub is the Brockley Jack, a Greene King pub in a stunning building which also contains a small theatre. When this photo was taken there was renovation work across the road, hence the unusual pink boards on the photo!

St Andrew’s Church, Brockley Road
This miniplanet shows the very attractive St Andrew’s Church in Brockley and the neighbouring pharmacy which has some nice painted adverts on the wall.

Ladywell Water Tower
The iconic building visible from many different angles around Ladywell is an old (Victorian?) Water Tower, which has since been converted into flats.

The nearest big open space to me is the great Hilly Fields, which has some great views across London. This panorama is in the direction of Crystal Palace (though you’ll need good eyesight to spot much of it!). The building in the mini planet is Prendergast-Hilly Fields College. The image of the Stone Circle (below) is being used for the publicity material of the Hilly Fields Midsummer Fayre (organised by the Brockley Society). It is a great local event and we’re proud to be supporting it.

Coulgate Street, Brockley Station, The Broca and Browns of Brockley
This mini planet captures the centre of Brockley, showing the station and two fantastic coffee shops - The Broca and Browns of Brockley.
